Michelle Onorato MD

Dr. Onorato is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania and graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio in 1989. She then completed a residency in internal medicine from 1989 until 1992 at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Onorato completed one year of infectious disease fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland from 1992 to 1993 before serving as the chief resident in internal medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland from 1993 until 1994. In 1994 Dr. Onorato moved to Texas and completed her infectious disease fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Onorato served on the infectious disease faculty at the University of Texas from 1995 until 2002 before founding Southeast Houston Infectious Disease in September 2002. During her tenure at UTMB, she was a co-investigator for several clinical trials of HIV therapy, including several sponsored by the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG). Dr. Onorato has over ten years of experience caring for HIV patients and infectious disease problems.

Anita Caballero RN

Ms. Caballero has over ten years of experience in infectious disease and HIV care. Before joining Southeast Houston Infectious Disease in 2002, Ms. Caballero managed the Infectious Diseases and HIV outpatient clinic at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is certified by the Association of Nurses for AIDS Care.

Clinical Support Staff

The clinical support staff includes five registered nurses, three registered radiology/nuclear technologists, three registered sonographers, medical assistants, and Spanish translators.

Administrative & Clerical Staff

The administrative and clerical staff includes billing specialists, scheduling coordinators and courteous receptionists.
